What to Expect
On Your All-On-4 Dental Implant Journey
Appointment 1: Meet Our Team
During your first visit to Restore Denture and Implant Center, you’ll meet our team, and Dr. Mencini will discuss your dental and medical history and perform an oral exam.
Photos will be taken of your teeth, smile, lips, and face, as well as taking comprehensive 3d scans to aid our doctor and lab technicians to design your brand new smile.
In addition, she’ll walk you through the dental implant process so you know what to expect from day one of your journey to restored oral health and answer any questions or concerns.
Appointment 2: Procedure Appointment
Today is the day you get to say goodbye to painful or embarrassing teeth forever and get your life back! You should expect to arrive ready for dental sedation.
Depending on treatment, plan on the total time in office ranging from 3-8 hours. During this time, Dr. Mencini will remove your remaining teeth, clear out any infections, and place your implants based off of the 3d scans from your previous appointment.
Appointment 2: New Teeth Reveal
Get ready to smile again!
After your implants are placed, we design and 3d print your temporary healing teeth, made from state-of-the-art ceramic resin designed to ensure high quality and durable healing teeth during your healing process.
Depending on the patient, the temporary healing teeth is either placed the same day as the surgery, or typically in the following morning.
Appointment 3: Healing Assessment Follow Up
This is a quick appointment to assess the current state of your healing that takes place about 3 weeks after your procedure.
It takes dental implants four to six months to fuse with new bone growth in your jaw in a process called osseointegration and provide a strong, long-lasting foundation for your new teeth.
Appointment 4: Assessment for Final Teeth
After the dental implants have integrated fully and healing is complete, you’ll return to our practice to start the process of fabricating your final set of teeth.
We want you to absolutely love your new smile, so we include a redesign where you can make changes to the esthetics of your temporary teeth and take them for a test drive before committing to the final design.
From shades of white to size and shape of teeth, we can more precisely modify your final teeth, helping us give you exactly the smile what you’re looking for!
Appointment 5: Final Teeth Test Drive
Today you will get your second set of temporary teeth! You will wear these for approximately 2 weeks to ensure they are perfect! If no changes are needed, we will begin fabricating your final teeth in zirconia.
Your original healing teeth will be removed and replaced with a replica version of your final zirconia teeth. Any requested changes to your first set of teeth will be reflected in the new prototype set.
Appointment 6: Zirconia Teeth Delivery
This is a VERY exciting day in your journey! You will receive your final zirconia teeth today.
Your zirconia teeth are extremely durable, look incredibly life-like, and are resistant to staining.
